The specific operation method of disposable sputum suction tube is as follows:
1. Before aspiration, check whether the suction device is effective and whether the suction catheter is unobstructed.
2. Prepare all supplies, put the bedside table, and explain to the patient.
3. Tilt the patient's head to one side and tilt it back slightly. A comatose patient can use a tongue depressor to open the mouth, clamp the suction tube from the cheek of the mouth to the throat, and insert the suction tube into the trachea while the patient inhales. If it is difficult to suck sputum in the mouth, it can be inserted into the nasal cavity (prohibited for patients with skull base fractures); in patients with tracheal intubation or tracheotomy, it can be inserted into the tube or cannula.
4. Before inserting the suction tube, turn on the aspirator switch. However, the side hole of the T-shaped tube should be relaxed. When the suction tube is inserted into the trachea to a certain depth, press the side hole immediately to suck sputum. When sucking sputum, the sputum suction tube should be slowly lifted up from the bottom and rotated left and right to absorb the sputum. Prevent damage to the mucous membrane by fixing one place or pulling up and down to attract. After the sputum suction tube is taken out, absorb water to rinse the sputum in the tube to avoid blockage. Turn off the suction switch.
5. One suction should not exceed 15s (clean the nasal cavity and oral cavity after suction). Also check the mucosa for damage. The sterile suction tube should be replaced every time you suck sputum. Patients with tracheotomy should pay more attention to aseptic operation.
6. Increase the oxygen concentration before and after suction. Observe vital signs before, during and after suction, and stop the operation if it is unsuitable.
The product should be stored away from fire sources, and stored in a warehouse with a relative humidity of less than 80%, in a dry, well-ventilated, clean and sanitary, and non-corrosive or harmful gas.
